Stability tests show good stability in two-piece capsules, giving supplement manufacturers and brands more options when choosing product formulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two-piece capsules are a well-established product format, with many manufacturers offering filling capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTwo-piece capsules are a well-established format, with many manufacturers offering filling capacity. By enabling the use of natural astaxanthin in this type of capsule, EB15 becomes relevant to a broader range of supplement manufacturers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EB15 has previously been used in animal feed products and is now being introduced for use in human dietary supplements, with production at a facility approved for food production. AstaReal AB is continuing to conduct stability and formulation tests, including for use in tablets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are seeing promising results and will now continue to evaluate EB15 across different types of formulations. Our ambition is to gradually broaden its applications and provide our customers with even more options for their product development,\u201d says Pernilla Berg, Head of R&amp;D at AstaReal AB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>About AstaReal\u00ae EB15<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AstaReal\u00ae EB15 is a natural astaxanthin ingredient based on algal meal from the microalga <em>Haematococcus pluvialis<\/em>. The algal meal is encapsulated in hydrogenated rapeseed oil, which protects the astaxanthin from oxidation and improves its stability.
