The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the 17 goals were developed by all the UN member states 2015 and aim at eradicating extreme poverty, reducing inequalities and injustices in the world, promoting peace and justice and solving the climate crisis.

Global sustainability challenges require joint efforts from everyone. In 2019, AstaReal developed its sustainability strategy until 2030. We have defined two focus areas for our work that contribute to the global goals: Good health and well-being and Sustainable production and consumption. The overview below shows how we will contribute to these.

The UN’s global sustainability goal number 12 is central to AstaReal’s sustainability work. AstaReal must carry out the transition to sustainable production and consumption through dialogue on sustainability with its suppliers and sub-suppliers. Furthermore we aim to choose recyclable packaging based on recycled or renewable materials and reduce the climate footprint of our products.
